Our Families

Our families are the core of our mission.

They come from different socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions, but all have one thing in common:

a father, mother, or spouse who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Although we can never replace their family members, with your help, we can build a better future for these families and reassure them that they are not alone. Take a moment to learn more about some of our families.

“In the most horrific time in our lives, we were uplifted by the amount of support we were shown. The activities are so much fun and really shine a bright spot in our lives. It means so much to us.”

Marie Tolley, Spouse of FDNY Firefighter William Tolley (Ultimate Sacrifice: 04/20/2017)

“Knowing Answer the Call is always there for us and wants to be there means our loved one is not forgotten and our family’s sacrifice is honored and remembered.”

Carol Lynn D’Allara, spouse of NYPD Police Officer John D’Allara (Ultimate Sacrifice: 09/11/2001)

“After the passing of my husband, Gregory Hodge, the emotional and practical support they provided helped me find my footing when I felt most lost. Their kindness didn’t just provide relief; it provided a sense of community and hope that I will never forget.”

Pauline Hodge, Spouse of FDNY EMT Gregory Hodge (Ultimate Sacrifice: 04/12/2020)
